Medical Response

This from our Chairman:

I am pleased to inform you that Vaaloewer Community Watch has arranged that as from 10 June 2014 Bataleur has employed a highly qualified paramedic to form part of their medical support structure on a monthly retainer basis. This additional service is at no extra cost to our members.

Monique Stewart-Lamprecht lives in Vaaloewer with her husband Etienne and their children. Etienne is also a paramedic.

Monique will be on call 24/7 in case of medical emergency.  She is capable of doing stitches, resuscitation etc.

The procedure remains the same in that you need to contact the Bataleur Control room on 016 931 2704 and inform them that you have a medical emergency. They will then immediately dispatch the Bataleur vehicle and Monique to your premises. Monique will then assess the need for additional medical support and call for the support if necessary.

In the case of a domestic accident, i.e. kitchen knife wound etc., she is available to assist which could save the cost of a visit to Doctor, hospital etc.  Obviously any treatment in this way would be billed separately to the member concerned.
